Participation on Canton runs through validator nodes. There is no public endpoint to rent. You can operate a validator in-house, have the CatalyX team run it as a managed service, or start managed and take over later.

Validator nodes deploy on AWS, Azure, GCP, or on-premise in minutes, using predefined, production-ready configurations. Reaching production, with custody, application, and integration, depends on your scope, which is exactly what the onboarding package defines up front.

No. Daml is the smart contract language of the Canton Network, and our engineers have built with it for over ten years. We design, build, package, and distribute your application, and hand over as much of it as your team wants to own.

Like most public blockchain networks, the Canton Network charges a fee for its use. Canton users purchase network "traffic" (essentially bandwidth credits denominated in USD but paid by burning CC at the prevailing market rate), which gets consumed as transactions are submitted to the network. Currently, the price for 1 MB of traffic on the Canton Network is $60 USD.

You own the Canton infrastructure. Nodes run under your ownership and are managed through CatalyX Blockchain Manager, with the option to transition operations fully in-house at any time.
